About Me

I’m Bill Schiavone, the heart and hands behind Schiavone Southern Customs. Born and raised in New York, I grew up surrounded by master carpenters—my grandfather Jack, who built entire city blocks in the Bronx, and my father and uncle, both skilled craftsmen. As their right-hand man, I learned the art of woodworking early, shaping my passion for creating lasting, beautiful pieces. My career took me to Los Angeles, where I joined the carpenters union, constructing stages before specializing in residential landscape carpentry for high-profile clients in Beverly Hills, Malibu, and Calabasas. Later, I returned to the East Coast, working as a cabinet maker for the Viking Yacht Company, crafting luxurious interiors for $20 million yachts. Now rooted in rural Tennessee, I’m pouring my heritage and expertise into Schiavone Southern Customs, creating bespoke woodwork that blends artistry, precision, and functionality to transform any space.
